being a girl is so easy though tbh. you can do ‘feminine’ things as well as ‘masculine’ and nobody really cares that much.you can basically be two sides and no one will think it’s weird

Trans women, PoC women, disabled women, chubby women, gay women, nb women, bi women, ace and aro women, mogai women, non-Christian woman , and anyone that identifies as a woman has it worse than a man. In fact, a woman who is feminine is put down as weak and submissive, a woman who should “stay in the kitchen”, and a masculine woman is seen as gross, “too manly”, and someone who should be more feminine. Before you go on about how men can’t “wear dresses or makeup” it’s because society sees it as degrading for you to be feminine. Tl;dr in terms of gender a woman has it worse than a man

Oh no, men can’t be feminine without being mocked, I wonder who’s fault that is… Oh wait… It’s men’s faults. Y’all can fucking cry all you want, but don’t fucking blame women for shit that you started.

America’s justice system is racist. There is no other way to put it. From its racist policing built on profiling, to its war on drugs which dis-proportionally incarcerates black (and brown) people, to its sentencing laws that increase in severity if you are black, to the fact that a black man is killed by cops or vigilantes every 28 hours. It’s murderous and racist to its core. So when “the law” is the instrument of oppression, this leaves little recourse for communities like Ferguson.

But the logic of oppression will always place the onus for civility on the victims of oppression, never itself.

These are the worst brand of hypocrites.
Who treat the oppression of black communities as if its tangential or irrelevant, even a roadblock to confronting the American imperial project, which has, since time immemorial, sought to eradicate the livelihood and self autonomy of black people.
Who act as if there is a rigid binary between imperial oppressor and imperialized oppressed and leave no nuance for positions of the descendants of the largest case of human trafficking and cultural genocide in recorded history.
Who can cite black history to make analogies to their own suffering and simultaneously neglect how those very same precarities have proved foundational for the internally displaced and oppressed today.
Who can give you a million reasons as to why the portrayal of x group in y country by mass American media circuits stems from racism, but will trust those same racist outlets when it comes to Ferguson protestors.
You all are unprincipled and bigoted. Shame on you.

B.o.B backpedaled on his tweets suggesting that protesters are being hypocritical in their reaction to Mike Brown’s death.

Protests in Ferguson are still going strong following the tragic killing of 18-year-old Michael Brown last week in Ferguson, Missouri. In fact, the marches have stretched all the way to New York City, as Times Square was filled with supporters of justice for the slain teen just last night.

Plenty of musicians have echoed similar sentiments toward the situation, with J. Cole and Elle Varner each releasing songs of support today. B.o.B also weighed in on the issue on Twitter today, but his contributions were far less positive.

In a tweet sent this afternoon, Bobby Ray accused protesters of contradicting themselves with their actions, saying “so Antwon will shoot 12 people in a week and y’all be like “FREE TWON!” a cop shoot a nigga and y’all riot… ok… #facts”. He then criticized social media activism, writing, “y’all ain’t gonna REVOLT!!! I bet y’all won’t overthrow the government of nothing!! All you gonna do is TWEET!”

Of course, the tweets were deleted almost immediately, though it’s unclear whether it was B.o.B himself or his label that decided to pull them.

I apologize if this comes off as disrespectful to Michael Brown or Trayvon Martin. Or their families. Or YOU, the reader. I’m not about that. That’s not why I drew this.

I am just really freaked out that 40% of Americans (and 47% of White Americans) do not think that the killings and violence in Ferguson ‘raise any racial issues.’ Fellow White Persons, this is our chance to learn. This is our chance to change.

When Trayvon Martin was murdered because Full Grown Men in America are frightened to violence by the presence black children, the dialogue turned very quickly into a conversation about gun control.

And gun control is an issue that deserves our attention.

But it won’t change the massive poverty in Black America. The arrest rate. The education statistics. The institutional, systemic, casual, and passive racism that plagues our country.

And it wouldn’t have saved Michael Brown.

Anyway. I’m sorry if this comes off as disrespectful or insincere or preachy. I’m sorry if my execution (or personality) gets in the way of what I’m trying to say. I am an imperfect artist, an imperfect person, and I am, undoubtedly, blinded to a million things by my own glaring whiteness. So this might be… Lord, this might be awful. I’m so sorry if it’s awful. Really.

But. I just keep thinking… Look, my wife is pregnant with our first child. A boy. We’re nervous, we’re excited, we’re SO ANXIOUS because what the hell do you do with babies? WE don’t know. But if we were a black family… in this country… we would be so terrified. Because we live in a nation that murders the children of black parents, puts it on the news WITH RIOTS AND TEAR GAS as decoration, and still half of us don’t even see it as a problem. Can you imagine that? Can you imagine bringing a child into that reality, to face the odds we lay out for black kids?

That would break me. I’ve never known anything like that. No one should ever know anything like that.

So let’s talk to our friends about race. Lets talk to our families. And when actual victims of racism try to tell us what’s going on in, say, a peaceful community protest as they are being gassed and shot at by cops WE SHOULD LISTEN TO AND BELIEVE THEM. Let’s talk to each other about this until we are all on the same page.

And then let’s turn the damn page.

TUESDAY 8/19: Ferguson PD presented a table full of fabricated evidence at this morning’s press conference - allegedly seized from protestors and stopped cars. The Colt 45 Molotov with a white bandana was the crowning glory, turns out you can’t even buy glass 40’s in Missouri. Stay classy, FPD

I seriously think white supremacist are coming in the area to frame the protesters, but it could just be the cops

Bruh they are really pulling out all the stops. Why are people even supporting FPD at this point?
